# Managing duplicate applications
CareerPlug system defaults prevent applicants from applying to a different job in the same location within 90 days (more information: [Does CareerPlug block duplicate applications?](https://adpsupport.careerplug.com/does-careerplug-block-duplicate-applications?hsLang=en)).
However, some applicants may apply to several of your job postings in separate locations. If you have access to multiple locations, you can manage these duplicate applications on your Applicants page.
### Deactivating duplicate applications
Applicants who have applied to multiple positions will be indicated with a red "Duplicate" flag on the Applicants page.
There will also be a notification at the top of that applicant’s profile page (the page you land on when you click the applicant’s name on the Applicants page).
Click the **View Details** button next to the duplicate applicant notification to view other jobs to which the applicant applied.
Account administrators can view all job postings to which an applicant applied and can **Deactivate** any application or **Deactivate All** applications at once. Limited and full access users can view duplicate applicants from other locations to which they do not have access, but they can't deactivate applications associated with other locations.
After a duplicate application has been deactivated, other users on the account can see who deactivated them and why.
When you are ready to hire an applicant, you will have the option to **Deactivate** that person's applications for all of the other jobs to which they applied. After you deactivate duplicate applications, only one application for the applicant will appear on your Applicants page to reduce confusion.
