How does the Point-of-Hire integration work?
The ADP RUN Point-of-Hire integration collects information from hired applicants in CareerPlug and sends it to your ADP account with one single click. You will then be able to locate the newly created Employee Record for that hired applicant in your ADP account and proceed with Onboarding.
Information sent to ADP RUN includes:
- Birthdate
- Company Name
- Employee Type
- Employment Start Date
- First Name
- Last Name
- Phone
- SSN
- Tax ID Number

How do I use the Point-of-Hire integration to send new hire information from CareerPlug to ADP?
1. When you're ready to make a hire in CareerPlug, navigate to your Applicants page.
2. Find the employee you want to hire and click the Hire and Send to ADP button to the right of their name.
You can also find the Hire and Send to ADP button within an applicant's profile — in the top-right corner of the page or under the Hire hiring step. To access an applicant's profile, click their name on your Applicants page.
3. Select the Employee Filing Type using the drop-down menu.
Many fields on this page automatically pre-fill using the information your new hire submitted with their application, including their First Name, Last Name, Mobile Phone, and Email.
4. Enter your new hire's Social Security Number in the appropriate field, and again in the Confirm Social Security Number field. You can pull this information from their background check.
5. Select a Hire Date using the drop-down calendar (or enter it manually).
6. Select your new hire's Date of Birth using the drop-down calendar (or enter it manually). You can pull this information from their background check.
7. Choose whether or not to close your job posting. Unless you plan to keep it open, we recommend closing and cloning your existing job posting.
8. Click the Send to ADP button at the bottom of the page to complete the ADP export process.

If you have issues enabling your integration, you should first reach out to ADP Support. If ADP Support is unable to resolve the error, then you should contact CareerPlug's Hiring Expert team for support.
